The Mountain

About Keystone Ski Resort, Colorado

Tucked away in the White River National Forest of the Rocky Mountains, Keystone Resort is the largest ski area in Summit County, Colorado. Spread across three peaks—Dercum Mountain, North Peak and the Outback—the resort boasts more than 3,000 acres of skiable terrain. From gentle groomers, rolling cruisers and steep bumps, to gladed terrain, powder-filled bowls and the award winning A51 Terrain Park, Keystone is the perfect playground for all ability levels from beginners to rippers.

Dercum Mountain

Sitting at 11,640 feet, Dercum Mountain greets guests as they enter the resort from the River Run or Mountain House base areas. Its trails offer skiers and riders long, groomed beginner runs, including the resort's Family Ski Trail and Schoolmarm, as well as a variety of wide, rolling intermediate runs.

Looking to go big? Dercum Mountain is also home to Keystone’s award-winning A51 terrain park, sporting a 60-acre collection of progressive terrain park features including boxes, rails, jumps and half pipes.

North Peak

Directly behind Dercum Mountain, you’ll find North Peak. At 11,660 feet, it double-dog dares intermediate to advanced skiers and riders to take on a wide array of challenging terrain, including long bump runs. Work up an appetite? Grab lunch at Labonte's Smokehouse BBQ or The Outpost  in the Timber Ridge food court, or even return that evening on the gondola for dinner at the Aplenglow Stube or Der Fondue Chessel.

The Outback

At 11,980 feet, The Outback is Keystone's furthest and tallest peak. It is an oasis for skiers and riders looking to play in the deep end making powder turns and tree skiing. Take a short hike off the top of the Outback Express Lift for access to North and South Bowls, where skiers and riders can find wide-open turns and powder stashes.

For those who like carving outside the lift lines, Independence, Bergman, Erickson, North Bowl and South Bowl serve up more than 1,000 acres of incredible hike-to-terrain with secret stashes and untouched tree runs. Don't feel like earning your turns? A $10 snow cat ride provides the same access.

A51Terrain Park

If freestyle is more your style, Keystone’s award-winning A51 terrain park sports 60-acres of over 100 creative terrain park features in six separate areas: Easy Street, Park Lane, The Alley, I-70 and Upper and Lower Main Street. Whether you’re just learning or a seasoned shredder, each park area is designed so that every box, rail and jump flows naturally to the next, progressing in size and difficulty. And since A51 has its own designated chairlift, you can easily lap any or all of the features as many times as you want.

Night Skiing

Get ready to enjoy the longest ski day in all of Colorado. Families can "ski late ‘til 8" on multiple lighted trails during the weekends and peak holiday periods. It’s the perfect way to get in a few more laps. Stop dreaming and keep skiing, because counting turns is way more fun than counting sheep.
