Night Skiing

Make sure nighttime skiing at Keystone is on your bucket list. Night skiing offers an exciting Keystone Colorado nightlife challenge that any passionate winter enthusiast should try.

Night skiing at Keystone usually begins on Thanksgiving. People gather at the River Run base area to gain access to the slopes. From there, boarders or skiers can take the River Run Gondola to the top of the mountain. Atop, large flood lights beam over the slopes, giving you a good view of all trails.

Night skiers get to escape some of the crowds, so you can enjoy shorter lines and more time on the slopes. However, before you head off into the night skies, make sure to adequately prepare yourself. This means having warm clothing, suitable lighting, a plan of action for any problems, and enough energy to complete the nighttime runs you want to try. To ensure you get maximum visibility while night skiing, bring lenses that are either clear or yellow in hue. This will help your eyes adjust better against all the lights.

Skiing usually finishes at 4 pm, but night skiers can ride the slopes until 7 pm.
