Keystone Children Group Lesson Information

Children Group Lesson

Thank you for booking your Keystone Ski & Ride School Lesson!

All of the fun and none of the homework! Kids are on the snow and learning the fundamental moves of skiing or riding in a safe, positive atmosphere that is catered to their ability level. Your child(ren) will develop their skills alongside other skiers/riders of similar age and ability. Our Experienced Pros will not only help grow skills, but a hopefully a life-long love of snow sports!

Children’s Group Lessons are available at both Keystone base areas. Please be sure to double check your lesson confirmation to assure you arrive at the appropriate location. Both base areas are accessible via Keystone’s in-resort transportation system. Free and paid public parking lots are available in River Run, while Mountain House offers paid parking options.

What to Bring:
  • Lift Ticket/Season Pass (if you did not book it in a package with your lesson)
  • Appropriate warm, waterproof outer layers (coat and pants)
  • Waterproof mittens/gloves (mittens are the warmer choice and our recommendation for hands that tend to get chilly!)
  • We suggest dressing children in layers, with a moisture wicking, non-cotton base layer
  • Smart Wool socks are our preferred footwear, but always wear only one pair of non-cotton socks
  • A helmet (REQUIRED for children’s lesson participants: helmets are a part of rental packages)
  • Sunglasses/goggles; the sun is stronger at 10,000’ and reflects off snow much like off of water
  • Sunscreen
  • Hand and/or foot warmers can be helpful on the coldest of days!
  • All equipment: Skis/snowboard, boots and poles (optional, for skiers only)
If you are renting equipment, please be sure to arrive at the rental shop for picked AT LEAST one hour before your lesson’s scheduled start time. Children’s lesson packages do include rentals (if selected). If you did not add a rental during check-out you can add it through the website or by calling (800) 255-3715. Children renting through Ski & Ride School will be fitted on-site after dropoff by our Ski & Ride School experts. Rentals can be extended for days children are not participating in Ski & Ride School at pickup.
