What To Know

Keystone Child Camp Lessons

Camp Keystone Group Lessons- located at Mountain House ONLY

Thank you for booking your Keystone Ski & Ride School Lesson!

Keystone’s signature children’s lessons are a program that’s less like school, more like the memorymaking camp experiences that you’ll always look back fondly on. This is more than ski school. This is Camp Keystone, where your kids will not only learn to ski or snowboard; they’ll develop a passion for the sport from day one. Children of all levels will have a blast learning new skills and meeting new friends.
**ALL Camp Keystone lessons are located at the Mountain House base area.**

What to Bring:
  • Lift Ticket/Season Pass (if you did not book it in a package with your lessons)
  • Appropriate warm, waterproof outer layers (coat and pants)
  • Waterproof mittens/gloves (mittens are the warmer choice and our recommendation for hands that tend to get chilly!)
  • We suggest dressing children in layers, with a moisture wicking, non-cotton base layer
  • Smart Wool socks are our preferred footwear, but always wear only one pair of non-cotton socks
  • A helmet (REQUIRED for children’s lesson participants: helmets are a part of rental packages)
  • Sunglasses/goggles; the sun is stronger at 10,000’ and reflects off snow much like off of water
  • Supergoop! Sunscreen
  • Hand and/or foot warmers can be helpful on the coldest of days!
  • All equipment: Skis/snowboard, boots and poles (optional, for skiers only) If you are renting equipment, please be sure to arrive at the rental shop for picked AT LEAST one hour before your lesson’s scheduled start time. Children’s lesson packages do include rentals (if selected). If you did not add a rental during check-out you can add it through the website or by calling (800) 255-3715. Children renting through Ski & Ride School will be fitted on-site after dropoff by our Ski & Ride School experts. Rentals can be extended for days children are not participating in Ski & Ride School at pickup.

Camp Keystone Class Schedule:

Full Day Lesson

The afternoon before your lesson: if possible, check in for your lesson and get fitted for rental equipment the night before for an easier morning. Our Ski School sales offices is open 8:00am – 4:30pm daily
  • 8:15am – 9:00am - Check in at the sales office. If you have equipment, check in can occur after 8:30am. Your reservation guarantees your child/children’s spot until 9:30am.
  • 9:30am - Classes form based on age and ability level and lessons begin (at Camp Keystone we have a unique entrance onto the snow: a SLIDE from inside the building to the snow surface. Way cooler than school, right?!)
  • 11:30am – 1:00pm - Lunch Break: Most groups return to the Camp Keystone facility for lunch. We serve kid’s favorites with a healthy spin to fuel their time on the mountain. Look forward to sub sandwiches or pizza, all served with sides of fruit and vegetables with plenty of water and lemonade! Intermediate and Advanced level students may eat at our Summit House restaurant depending on the pro’s lesson plan and where they are skiing/riding.
  • 1:00pm - Head back outside for more fun on the slopes!
  • 3:30pm – Your child’s lesson will end for the day and pick up is held in the “backyard” of our Camp Keystone facility. Interested in another day of fun and learning? Your pro can help you arrange for tomorrow’s lesson.
