Keystone Adult Private Lessons

Adult Private Lessons

Thank you for booking your Keystone Ski & Ride School Lesson!

Private Lessons are available at both the River Run and Mountain House base areas. Please be sure to double check your lesson confirmation to assure you arrive at the appropriate location. Both base areas are accessible via Keystone’s in-resort transportation system.
Free and paid public parking lots are available in River Run, while Mountain House offers paid parking options.

What to Bring:
  • Appropriate warm, waterproof outer layers (coat and pants)
  • We suggest dressing in layers, with a moisture wicking, non-cotton base layer
  • Smart Wool socks are our preferred footwear, but always wear only one pair of non-cotton socks
  • Waterproof gloves/mittens
  • A helmet (optional for adult lesson participants, but strongly suggested)
  • Sunglasses/goggles; the sun is stronger at 10,000’ and reflects off snow much like off of water
  • Supergoop! Sunscreen
  • Hand and/or foot warmers can be helpful on the coldest of days!
  • All equipment: Skis/snowboard, boots and poles (optional, for skiers only)
*Lockers are available nearby both Adult Ski & Ride School locations. We suggest participants do not carry a backpack on the mountain. Classes will stop for water breaks as often as necessary. Please do ensure you carry your Lift Ticket, ID and cash/credit card if you’ll be purchasing lunch on the mountain

Cancellation Policy
We hope you are able to join us for the lessons you've reserved! If you are not able to, please keep the following in mind:
  • All participants must arrive on time. Late arrival may result in cancellation of the reservation.
  • Reservations are charged to the form of payment up to three days prior to the start of the lessons.
  • Reservations may be cancelled a minimum of one day prior to the start date of the lessons.
  • Cancelling a reservation on the day it is to begin or after it was to begin may result in a cancellation fee equal to that of the products reserved.
  • Lessons will not be cancelled due to weather.
  • Once a reservation has begun we will offer a refund of unused lessons based on the price difference of the originally purchased product and the product that was used.
  • All lesson participants age 18 and over are required to sign a Ski & Ride School Assumption of Risk, Hold-Harmless, Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement. Participants under age 18 need a parent/guardian to sign one for them. Failure to do so will result in one being prohibited from participation.
Private Lesson classes are designed all level skiers or snowboarders (EpicMix Academy Levels 1-9). These classes will provide participants with the basic skills needed to be safe and enjoy the mountain while developing their skiing or riding technique and skills in a fun, group environment. Helmets are required for ages 3-14. Helmets are recommended for all other participants.

Please be sure to double check the location of your lesson. Keystone Adult Private Lessons are available at both the River Run and Mountain House base areas. Please check your reservation confirmation for the appropriate base area.

Locations: River Run Adult Ski School or Mountain House Adult Ski School.

Rental Equipment

Rental equipment is not included with any adult lessons. We recommend using Keystone Sports, with locations adjacent to both our River Run and Mountain House Ski&Ride School facilities. By reserving your rental equipment online in advance you’ll save time and money! Keystone Sports allows guests to pick up reserved equipment the afternoon/evening before your reservation for no extra charge.

**If you need to pick up equipment on the morning of your lessons, please plan to arrive at the rental shop at least one hour prior to your lesson start time.
