Family Tubing in Keystone, CO.

STEP 1: BRING OUT YOUR INNER KID

Of course, the easiest way to tap into the spirit of Keystone is by enjoying our 3 Mountains of Fun and over 3,000 acres of skiable terrain. But, when the skis (or snowboard) come off, there are still tons of ways to enjoy our Mountain Playground!

High atop Dercum Mountain, you’ll find the World’s Largest Mountaintop Snow Fort, a 30-foot-tall snow and ice palace built for the whole family! You’ll feel like snowy royalty as you explore the fortress’s 10,000 square feet of snow and ice designs. Or, if you have the need for speed, look no further than our nearby Mountaintop Snow Tubing Hill, Adventure Point! At 11,640 feet above sea level, the world’s highest tubing hill will have you and your family laughing all the way with high-speed snow tubing action – no skills required!

STEP 1.5: GET IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT

If you’re here for the holidays, there are countless ways to get into the spirit of the season. River Run village transforms into a holiday spectacle with lights and magic at every corner! If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of Santa. And, if you’re here on Dec. 23, join us for the Grand Opening celebration of our Snow Fort, complete with cookies, cocoa and fireworks.

Looking to celebrate New Year’s in style? You can forget about Time’s Square. Nothing beats ringing in the New Year by taking laps under the stars before watching our famous Torchlight Parade and Mountaintop Firework celebration from River Run Village!

STEP 2: GLIDE ACROSS KEYSTONE

Skiing and snowboarding aren’t the only ways to slide across our Winter Wonderland. Find your inner explorer and venture out into a spectacular frost-covered forest at the Keystone Nordic Center, with access to over 10 miles of trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

Or, put on a pair of ice skates and glide across the beautiful 5-acre Keystone Lake, where you can practice your best triple-axel against the beautiful backdrop of the Continental Divide. If you’re staying at River Run, you can conveniently try out our smaller rink after dessert and cruise around under the lights of the Dercum Square Ice Rink.

STEP 3: RELAX AND REFUEL

After a long day of fun, nothing beats bundling up and kicking back with those closest to you over a tasty meal and Keystone offers spectacular dining in multiple settings. Step back in time to the cozy confines of Ski Tip Lodge, an old 1800s stage coach stop that has since been transformed into a quaint B&B and one of the most acclaimed restaurants in the country.

If rustic elegance is more your style, warm up by a centerpiece fireplace and enjoy the charm of the Keystone Ranch, an old homestead that offers a AAA 4-Diamond dining experience. Or, if lakeside views are your preference, unwind  at the Big Horn Bistro and watch the ice skaters while you enjoy some après. Don’t forget to make your reservation in advance for the smoothest experience!

With so many magical winter wonderland activities going on around our resort, there are really an infinite number of ways to get into the spirit of the season. So, what will your Keystone experience look like? The choice is yours!
