Your Weekend Itinerary for the Keystone Wine & Jazz Festival, July 13-14

Wine Down and Jazz it Up at Keystone!

Get ready to move and groove to the sounds of smooth jazz while sipping and swirling wines from across the state at Keystone’s Wine & Jazz Festival, July 13 – 14. Buy your tickets and check out our suggested weekend itinerary below to fill your weekend with relaxation, elevated culinary experiences, and tons of mountain-town fun.

FRIDAY

Planes, trains, or automobiles - arrive to Keystone and get ready for a stress-free weekend of wining, dining, and big mountain views. Browse lodging options and choose the one that best suits your crew with Festival lodging packages available to make the most of your weekend getaway.

Afternoon

Head over to the Keystone Stables and catch the 2pm horseback ride for an hour of serenity on Soda ridge. Cowboy up and explore like the first settlers in Keystone while your guide tells you about life before the ski resort with a rich mining and homesteading history. Neighs and nuzzles from our horses are included!

If you’d rather let the Wranglers take the reins, opt for a horse-drawn wagon ride through Soda Creek Valley with a refreshing drink stop at an authentic homestead.

Or, if you'd prefer sticking to River Run and starting the Wine and Jazz Festival early, head to Warren Station for a Bites and Bubbly Happy Hour with tasty mimosas paired with brungh-inspired farm-to-table bites.

Evening

After your wildwest afternoon adventure, head back to River Run Village for the free Friday Concert Series from 4-6 PM featuring Brendan O’Hara.

If you appreciate the finer things in life (and, if you’re coming to Wine & Jazz, we’ll assume you do!), snag a reservation at the upscale Ski Tip. The Ski Tip Lodge features an amazing seasonal four-course dinner menu and extensive wine list. Plus, you can dine in an 1800s stagecoach stop that was later home to Max and Edna Dercum, two of Keystone’s founders. Apple Strudel by the cozy fireplace is just the cherry on top!

SATURDAY

Morning

Can you say “Ahhhh”? The Alpenglow Spa ensures you wake up on the right side of the bed with massages, facials, and a full spa menu. Heat things up with the eucalyptus steam room or enjoy the outdoor pool area to unwind before wine.

After plenty of pampering, head to River Run village and show your festival wristband for 50% a scenic gondola ride to the Dercum Summit. Take in high-alpine views, and grab a Caprese Chicken Sandwich at an elevation of over 11,000 feet above sea-level at Summit House. Get your steps in with a short hike, or enjoy mountaintop activities like cornhole, yoga, or even snow tubing!

Afternoon

If you make it back down before noon, join Scott Thomas, Italian Wine Ambassador and founder of Grappolo Wine School, for Seaside Sipes an epic guided tasting journey around the Italian boot, exploring some of the key sun-kissed grapes and regions, from large islands to the rugged mainland where the mountains fall into the sea. Wines will be paired with small regional bites to showcase their versatility and importance in Italian seaside culture.

And then, it's time to jazz it up!

The main event, Wine & Jazz, is open from 1-5 pm on both Saturday and Sunday

With free live music for all ages from more than a dozen different jazz musicians from across the country, you’ll be swinging and swaying in no time! Sample a wide variety of wines and snacks from vendors and enjoy selecting your favorite vintages and trying unique blends. Kick back, relax, and enjoy the summer buzz in River Run Village.

Evening

Reserve a table at the Keystone Ranch, our premiere AAA Four-Diamond rated restaurant. It’s the perfect place to toast to a great weekend in the high country! With locally sourced ingredients and a steakhouse-inspired menu, you can’t go wrong when ordering just about anything here from the Wagyu Striploin to the Colorado Lamb Chops. Pro tip: for those with a sweet tooth, the signature Grand Marnier Soufflé is to die for!

SUNDAY

Morning

Wake up and get your caffeine kick with a freshly brewed craft coffee from local roastery, Steep. Then, gear up for 18 holes on one of Keystone’s two world-class golf courses! Wind along the scenic Snake River on the River course, or putt between historic homesteads at the Ranch. Both courses provide incredible scenery and plenty of features to challenge and engage golfers of all levels

After working up an appetite on the course, swing back to River Run to grab a bite to eat at 9280’ Sake House. Featuring Asian-inspired cuisine, we recommend the Bao Buns to start. Then, choose from elevated entrees like tuna poke bowls or hot and spicy pork belly ramen. And, don’t skip out on dessert – the new signature milkshakes (add a shot for an extra kick!) are the perfect sweet summer treat.

Afternoon

It’s Day 2 of Wine & Jazz, so be sure to swing by any vendors you missed yesterday! Or, if one day of winin’ and groovin is enough, you can flip-flop Saturday and Sunday itineraries to best suit your group.

Thanks for visiting Wine & Jazz! And, we'd love to see you again for another festival later this season! See the full festival lineup here
