Closed for the Winter Season

Keystone Ski Resort has closed for the winter.  Thank you for a great season.  We will open June 14 for summer operations. Reserve a place to stay.

Kidtopia is back and bigger than ever this year with activities for kids taking place daily.  It’s a festival designed just for them, a fun-filled, kid-friendly experience, but one that the whole family can enjoy!  Explore the ultimate Snow Fort at the top of Dercum Mountain, dance to live music in the plaza, have fun with arts and crafts, go Tubing for 80's Night, Enjoy free cookies at Dercum Square Ice Rink EVERYDAY and join in on continuing education activities on and off the slopes.  There’s always something fun going on for kids and their families!

Kidtopia Snowfort

The Kidtopia Snow Fort is closed for the 2012-2013 winter season.  Thank you for a wonderful season.  Join us for more fun this summer.  Summer operations start June 14^th

Keystone’s Kidtopia Snowfort is back for its fourth year.  Perched atop Keystone’s Dercum Mountain, the Snowfort is fun for all ages.  With interactive elements such as climbing areas and tunnels, it’s a sight not to be missed.

Dates:  Saturday, December 22nd through Mid March  

Location:  Dercum Mountain – top of the gondola

Hours of Operation:   Open daily from 10:30am until dusk

Accessibility:  A lift ticket, foot passenger ticket, or ski pass is required for lift access up to the snowfort.

Parking:   Free parking will be available in the River Run Parking Lot.

Cookie Hour at Dercum Square

Enjoy complimentary fresh baked chocolate chip cookies at Dercum Square Ice rink every day at 4:00pm!

Dates:  Every day from November 22nd through March 24th

Location:  Dercum Square - River Run

Parking:  Free parking will be available in the River Run Parking Lot.

Fireworks

Enjoy Kidtopia's firework show every Saturday from December 22nd through March 23rd.    With a new launch location, guests in both Lakeside Village and River Run Village will be able to experience the Show!

Accessibility:  Fireworks can be seen from Lakeside Village and River Run.

Schedule of Events:  Fireworks shows will be nightly at 7:00pm unless otherwise noted

Riperoo's Village Parade

Come and join Ripperoo as he parades through the village with his Ski School friends every Saturday.  Help them dance their way to the Dercum Square Ice Rink to enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and s'mores treats.   The parade also features performers and a horse drawn sleigh bed for Ripperoo’s young friends to ride along.  

Dates:  Every Saturday from November 24th through April 6th

Hours of Operation: Parade begins at 4:15pm

Keystone Aglow

Keystone’s River Run Village sets aglow in the evenings with Keystone Aglow.  A collection of winter themed lighting dances across the village while you take in the nighttime mountain views.

Dates:  November 22nd through April 7th - nightly

Location:  River Run Village

Schedule of Events:  Starts at dusk

Parking:  Free parking will be available in the River Run Parking Lot.

Kids Night Out

Parents, treat yourself to a night out while treating your kids to a night out of their own that includes dinner, activities, and a break from spending all their time with you!  Parents Night Out is a Resort service that gives both you and your kids a welcome break from each other to enjoy an evening doing things geared to your own interests.  For you, that means an opportunity to get out and enjoy various dining and entertainment options, shopping, or resort amenities kid-free.  For your children aged 5 through 14, it means an opportunity to enjoy a pizza party and activities like tubing, movie night, or playing at the Snowfort with others their own age under the responsible, watchful eye of our professional childcare staff who know how make things fun.

Dates: EveryThursday from December 20th through April 4th

Location:  Drop-off and pick-up is located at the River Run Ski School across from the River Run Gondola.

Hours of Operation: Thursdays from 5:00-8:00pm

Reservations:  To reserve your child’s spot in advance, please contact ski school at 970-496-4170.

Same-day reservations/walk-ups may be booked through the River Run Ski School and Mountain House Ski School.

Price:  $75 per child (includes the cost of snow tubing and dinnner)

Drop off/Pick Up:  River Run Ski School located across from the River Run Gondola

Ages:  5 to 14 years of age

Child care services for children outside of the 5 to 14 year age range is available through Mountain Sitters, Resort Sitters, etc on web for younger ages.

Activities:  Include but are not limited to movies, games, and snow tubing.

Parking:  Free parking is available in the River Run Parking Lot.

Snow Tubing at Adventure Point

Take the River Run Gondola up to Adventure Point during the day or under the lights at night for this must-do experience for all ages.  Our six tubing lanes vary from gentle to steep but all of them let you bump around, jump over hills, twist around, and smile until your cheeks hurt.  With our unique state-of-the-art conveyor lift, the amount of rides you take is up to you.

Dates: November 21st through April 7th

Location: Adventure Point - top of the River Run Gondola

Hours of Operation: 

November 21st - December 20th:  11:00am – 7:00pm or when the lifts close
December 21st - April 7th:  10:00am – 7:00pm or when the lifts close

Schedule of Events: 

Mondays: Anything goes!
Tuesdays: 60's night - Break out your poodle skirt and leather jacket!
Wednesdays: 80’s night under the night club lights
Thursdays: Disco Night!
Fridays: Modern Rock
Saturdays: Big Hits Night!  Jam out to the greatest hits of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s under the night club lights.
Sundays: Anything goes!


Reservations:  

Reservations are highly recommended.  To reserve call 970-496-3000.
Hour long sessions start on the hour and half hour.
You must be at least 42 inches tall to tube.


Cost:  $31/person for 1 hour or $33/person for 1 hour tubing and $5 snack voucher.


Check-In:  Check-in is located at the Mountain Services Center in River Run’s Gondola Plaza.  We recommend that foot passengers check in 40 minutes prior to your reservation.  During the Christmas holidays, we recommend you check-in one hour prior to your reservation.  If you are already up on the hill, check in at Adventure Point at the top of Dercum Mountain 15 minutes prior to your reservation.

Nature Valley Family Challenge

Experience nature and experience Keystone!  This family friendly scavenger hunt takes guests through Keystone’s Base Areas and beautiful slopes.  Scavenger hunt passports will guide you all over the resort to family-friendly locations.
