Keystone Nordic Center

With more than nine miles of groomed trails and access to more than 35 miles of nearby trails throughout the White River National Forest, the Keystone Nordic Center is a haven for outdoor recreation. Choose from classic, skate skis, or snowshoes for your next adventure.

New to the sport? The Nordic Center offers lessons and guided hikes throughout the winter season. After your next day out, warm up inside the Nordic Soup Bistro featuring hearty and healthy homemade classics that will warm you from the inside out. The Nordic Center also offers a bar with beer, wine, soft drinks, and light snacks available.

Cross Country Lessons

Beginner Group Lesson (One Hour)
An introduction to classic cross-country skiing, this lesson is perfect for the never-ever or newcomer to the sport who is looking to learn basics including how to ski efficiently, make turns and stop. Equipment included. 

  • Held Daily, 10:30 a.m.
  • $55/person
  • Reservations recommended.

*Insider's Tip: After the lesson, we let you keep the equipment for practicing” or, with no additional cost, you can switch them for snowshoeing and try another sport.

Private Lesson (One Hour)
Available for all abilities, private lessons are the fastest way to learn the sport or perfect your technique with one-on-one coaching. Equipment included. 

  • 1st Student: $80
  • 2nd Students: $50
  • 3rd+ Students: $40/person

Family Lesson (One Hour)
Cross-country skiing is the perfect way for the whole family to enjoy the outdoors together. Designed for ages 7 and older, family lessons can introduce newcomers to the sport or help take everyone's skiing to the next level, all while learning together. Equipment included. 

  • 1st Adult: $80
  • 2nd Adult: $50
  • Teen: $35
  • Child (7-12): $25

Guided Snowshoe Hikes

Snowshoe Eco Hike
Enjoy an easy hike along the Snake River as you learn about the natural environment of Keystone, local animals and the area's history.

Level: 3/10

Time: Wednesdays & Fridays, 10:30 a.m.

Tour lasts approximately 1 1/2 hours.

Price: $55/person

 

Mountain-Top Snowshoe Trek
Explore the mountaintop at more than 11,000 feet as you journey from the top of Dercum Mountain to Keystone's Bergman Bowl. You'll travel to the mountaintop via the enclosed River Run gondola before beginning your trek through spectacular wooded scenery. Equipment and gondola access included.

Level: 8/10 Moderate - Difficult

Time: Thursdays & Saturdays, 10:15 a.m.

Tour lasts approximately 4 hours, including gondola time traveling to and from the mountaintop.

Price: $75/person

*Private snowshoe tours are available for groups of three or more, with at least 24-hours notice.
