Listen & Learn: Music 101

Nothing gets your ski boots tapping like music in the mountains. So grab your family and come enjoy live music ranging from Bluegrass and Bach to children’s songs and Rock. And if you feel like making some music of your own, you can join singalongs, learn about different instruments and play fun musical games. And you don’t even have to use your indoor voice.

Meet the Avalanche Rescue Dog

Come make FURever friends with one of the bravest and friendliest furballs who’s in training to be on the Keystone avalanche dog team. While you play with our four-legged hero, you’ll also get to learn about avalanche safety and see just how courageous (and cute) our avalanche patrol dogs really are. And don’t forget your camera to snap an adorable pic with the pup!

Colorado’s Critters – Wildlife Education Station

Think Ripperoo is the wildest animal at Keystone? Think again. Come learn about some of the wildlife animals that calls Summit County home! You’ll get a hands-on look at animal tracks, scats, and furs. It’s wild fun for critters of all ages.

My First Cross Country Ski

Take the trail less traveled with your family and friends cross country skiing at the Nordic Center. New to the sport? No problem, this class is for first timers to cross-country skiing. Children ages 5-12 will learn how to move on the cross-country skis going down a small hill. Come on over and enjoy the beautiful playground the Rocky Mountains have to offer.

Dress in layers for winter skiing: boots, wool socks, sunglasses, hat, gloves and jacket. Please bring a helmet, if you would like your child to wear one. A helmet is not required.

December 19 –March 19 only. | Nordic Center

Must Check in and Get Fitted for Gear: 1:30 -2:00 p.m. | 2 p.m. Children leave with instructor.

Cross Country Ski: 2-2:45 p.m. Parents can watch and take pictures.

Ripperoo’s Village Parade

If you feel it’s your duty to shake your booty, then it’s time to get down in Ripperoo’s Village Parade. Join Ripperoo and the whole Keystone Ski & Ride School crew for music, dancing, free cookies and awesome giveaways. There’s a special dance performance in the middle of the village! The parade starts at Gondola Plaza and heads through the village.
