Developed in 1968 by SKI Magazine, NASTAR is the largest recreational ski and snowboard race program in the world. Since the program began, more than 5 million skiers and snowboarders have raced NASTAR. Through a handicap system and a national standard, racers of all ages and abilities can compare themselves to one another regardless of when and where they raced. Each time you race NASTAR, you earn a handicap that represents the difference between your race time and national pacesetter's time expressed as a percentage.
