Ski With A Ranger

Ski with a ranger tour is an opportunity for the United States Forest Service, Friends of Dillon Ranger District, and Keystone Ski Resort to partner and provide guided interpretive tours for the purpose of highlighting the resources of the National Forest and the resort’s environmental commitments.

Volunteer Rangers guide a 45-minute ski or snowboard tour down an intermediate trail on Dercum Mountain at Keystone Ski Resort. Participants meet at the River Run Gondola at 10:00 a.m. on Fridays from Friday, December 18 2009 through Friday, April 2, 2010. The Ski With a Ranger tour is free to participants, but a lift ticket and at least intermediate skiing ability are required. Each tour follows the naturalist guide through several planned stops on the mountain to learn about topics of interest.

50 Plus - Ski With Us

Thursdays - 50+ Ski with Us program is a complimentary guided ski program for all Keystone guests ages 50 and over (we don’t check any ID’s). Guests of all abilities are welcome to participate in this free tour. There are seven different ability levels to choose from so it’s a great opportunity to ski with people of the same ability. The tours are led by a Certified Mountain Guest Service Guide and they explore all of Keystone’s best trails. Meet in the Summit House, Thursdays at 9 am.

The Swing Crew at Last Lift Bar

Keystone KIDTOPIA

Glow Bug Skate Night – Come ice skate and glow in the dark. At the Keystone Adventure Center they will dress you up in all sorts of glow gear and you can skate around the largest outdoor rink.

KIDTOPIA - Signature Event

Keystone Kidtopia's Signature Event takes place on Feb. 18-21, 2010 with the debut of the world's highest snow fort, kid-centric live concert, Radio Disney, educational and interactive activities and more! And those are the activities after you take your skis off.

Keystone’s Kidtopia Festival from February 18 - 21 is full of programming dedicated to kids. The Signature Weekend features concerts, entertainment from Radio Disney, and the debut of the world’s largest snowfort on top of Keystone’s Dercum Mountain. With a carnival of activities and entertainment, no child will complain about boredom on a ski vacation to Keystone. Located in the Buffalo Courtyard in River Run Village, the Kidtopia Headquarters Tent offers families information, a warm refuge, and plenty to do including snowflake making, cookie decorating, winter crafts, coloring, and much more. Exclusive to the Signature Weekend is a special family-friendly concert for kids and parents to dance and groove in the River Run Village! Radio Disney will be onsite to run the show and entertain everyone with their crazy costumes and wild games. The snowfort on top of Dercum Mountain is every child’s dream and Kidtopia’s premiere attraction with a grand entrance, lookout tower, drawbridge, and resident snowdragon to be debuted with a huge fireworks show. Ripperoo’s Village Parade is a true show of childhood arts and crafts skills and begins at the River Run Ski School and heads through the village with the Ski and Ride School’s Ripperoo in the lead. Betty Fest

Betty Fest brings together women for two days of skiing and riding in a fun, non-intimidating environment. This program includes extensive on-hill training on Keystone’s Ski and Ride School’s trails, video analysis and discussions about nutrition, women’s specific concerns and equipment. All women’s programs are taught by PSIA – certified, women instructors, including Annie Black – Colorado’s Ski Instructor of the year – and each group is small and supportive.

Volcolm Peanut Butter and Rail Jam

April 10, 2010

The Peanut Butter and Rail Jam is Volcom's free amateur snowboard contest series dedicated to giving something back to the kids. Deviating from the established way snowboard contests are run, Volcom put their heads together and came up with a fresh format. Instead of having rails or features set up in a row, three rails are dug in side-by-each to create a single, large rail zone. The event is absolutely free, on a first-come first-serve basis and boasts tons of free prizes and PB&J sandwiches! Also, everyone who enters walks away with a Volcom PBRJ shirt plus other goodies.
