Ski with a ranger tour is an opportunity for the United States Forest Service, Friends of Dillon Ranger District, and Keystone Ski Resort to partner and provide guided interpretive tours for the purpose of highlighting the resources of the National Forest and the resort’s environmental commitments.

Volunteer Rangers guide a one hour ski or snowboard tour down an intermediate trail on Dercum Mountain at Keystone Ski Resort. Participants meet at the top of dercum at the lookout deck at 11:00 am on Fridays from Friday, December 20, 2013 through March 28, 2014. The Ski With a Ranger tour is free to participants, but a lift ticket and at least intermediate skiing ability are required. Each tour follows the naturalist guide through several planned stops on the mountain to learn about topics of interest.

• Avalanche Awareness
• Local History
• Resort Environmental Programs
