We provide variety of different levels and lengths of hiking guided trips ranging from 2 miles to 5+ miles.

Guided Hike Details

Dates: Guided Hikes are closed for the summer. Thank you for a great season.

Meeting Location: Meet in River Run Village Ticket Office for all hikes except for the Kidtopia Nature Hike (meet at Kidtopia Headquarters).

What to Bring: Bring good walking shoes, layered clothing, water, sunscreen & a camera.

Reservations: No reservations required except for the Kidtopia Nature Hike. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to hike start time.

Join us at the Overlook Grill located on the Summit House deck for an elevated dining experience. Featuring our house made BBQ, gourmet sandwiches and grilled specialties all made to order at 11,640’!

Hike Descriptions


Experience an outdoor adventure at 11,000 feet! Take a guided interpretive trek along the top of Dercum Mountain exploring our high alpine plants, animals & terrain. Don’t forget your camera – the views are amazing! Level: Moderate to Hard

Colorado’s alpine meadows are home to some of the country’s most vibrant & colorful wildflowers. Enjoy a serene hike with a naturalist while learning about the many variations of wildflowers found in Keystone’s alpine environment and how they are used in folklore healing. Capture some great wildflower photos. Level: Easy to Moderate

Children 8 & younger must be accompanied by an adult
Kids will enjoy a short hike where they will gather nature items they find along the trail. They will then use their treasure to create a unique nature souvenir to take home. Level: Easy

This family-oriented hike meanders through the Snake River Valley to the Ski Tip Lodge. Learn about our plants & animals, and the history of Keystone & the Ski Tip along the way. Level: Moderate

Raise your heart rate and your spirits as you embark on this challenging hike for fitness enthusiasts. Your guide will maintain a brisk pace for a good workout while you enjoy the clear mountain air and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Level: Hard

A unique walking tour with a view - at the summit of Dercum Mountain.  You’ll learn unique Keystone and Colorado facts relating to our place in Summit County history. Afterwards, feel free to stay a while and enjoy yourself at our Summit House restaurant. 
Some things you will hear about from your guide: Keystone history that ranges from over 10,000 years ago, to silver and gold mining methods, to Keystone's transformation from a mining town into a world class ski resort.
Dates: Sunday July 10 - September 4
Times: 11:00am and 1:00pm
Location: Summit House- as you exit the gondola take a right.  Your guide will be standing outside wearing a cowboy hat. 
Price:  FREE tour- you must buy a lift pass to ride the gondola
Registration:  No registration required. 
Age:  We will be doing approximately 1 hour of walking along the gradual to moderate Dercum Hiking Trail.  Please wear walking/hiking shoes and dress for the weather.  

Couples, families and larger groups, particularly those here for weddings, conferences, reunions, can arrange their OWN time and day for any of the above activity. The discount/ group rate (depending on the size of the group) ranges from 15% - 25%.
