Guided Hikes will start on June 13 for the summer season and run daily through September 1st.

Hiking in the mountains is healthy and can be done by anybody. We provide variety of different levels and lengths of hiking guided trips ranging from 2 miles to 5+ miles.  Please, arrive 15 minutes prior to hikes start time. ]

Guided Hikes are closed for the summer / fall season.

Mountain Top Trek
The group takes the gondola (or lift) to the top  - and from there we go a bit higher to a lookout point.  This hike will surround you with beautiful views of the Outpost, the Fourteeners, and Continental Divide. This hike takes place above 11,000 ft. and features uphill hiking and uneven terrain. Price includes gondola ticket.
Cost:  Adults: $25.00 (lift access included)  |  Homeowners/Military/Seniors (65): $23.00 (lift access included)  |  Children (5-12): Age (5-12): $17.00 (lift access included).
Meeting Location:  River Run Village - meet by the Gondola in front of the First Aid Station.  Sign will say meeting place for hikes.

Discovery Stroll:  
An easy guided hike that is good for the whole family.  Learn about the surrounding area's history, local wildlife, wildflowers and mountain vistas.
Level terrain.
Cost:  Adults: $13.00 | Homeowners/Military/Seniors (65): $11.00 | Children: Age (5-12): $8.00
Meeting Location:  Lakeside Village Adventure Center - Boat Place 
Time:  10:30am
Days Offered: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 
Level of Physical Output:  3
Duration: 1 ¾ hr

Brush & Brownie  
Paint memories of your mountain adventures.  This is a great nonphysical activity the whole family can enjoy. Our painting specialist will guide you through what brushes to use and paint to mix to create your own memento of your vacation.  Open to all ages and ability levels.
Cost:  Adults: $10.00 | Homeowners/Military/Seniors (65): $9.00 | Children: Age (5-12): $8.00
Meeting Location:  Lakeside Village Adventure Center - Boat Place 
Time:  1:00pm
Days Offered: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
Level of Physical Output:  0
Duration: 1 - 1½ hrs depending on the number of participants

2,000 Calories Hike  
Get ready for a great workout!  This Heavy breathing and an effort would be in a description   of this outing.  Lot of uphill, great workout!
Participants are encouraged to use hiking poles (available).
Cost:  Adults: $20.00  |  Homeowners/Military/Seniors (65): $17.00

GROUPS:
Couples, families and larger groups, particularly those here for weddings, conferences, reunions, can arrange their OWN time and day for any of the above activity. The discount/ group rate (depending on the size of the group) ranges from 15% - 25%. 

Level Guide:

Level 1 - The easiest, no elevation, slow pace, 2 miles max

Level 3 - Terrain with little incline, easy terrain, max. length 2 ½ miles

Level 4 - Mild hills, some incline, still fairly easy terrain max length 3 miles

Level 5 - Up and down terrain max length 3 ½ miles, uneven surface

Level 8 - Inclines, uneven terrain and more than 4 miles of terrain
