Navigating the Six Terrain Parks at Keystone

A51 Feature

As with anything in life, when you start freeskiing or riding, you have to start at the bottom and work your way to the top. Or in the case of A51, start at Easy Street and work your way up to Main Street.

With over 100 features, A51 is the place where riders of any level can find progressive features set in five terrain parks complete with its own chairlift. On Wednesday through Sundays, The Alley and Lower Park Lane are open till 6pm for night park sessions.

Here's a look at each of the A51 Terrain Parks:

Beginner: Easy Street

If this is your first encounter with a box, rail or a jump, start here. Get comfortable with your board or skis touching plastic and metal instead of snow. Easy Street starts mellow with ride-on features that help you progress to the last set of features to prepare you for I-70 and The Alley. The jumps will get you off the ground and allow you to work up to bigger and bigger air as your comfort level increases.

Intermediate: Park Lane, I-70, The Alley

Cruise into I-70 with an assortment of rails, boxes and jumps. The first jump in lower I-70 starts where the last jump in Easy Street left off and progressively gets bigger. By the time you clear the last I-70 jump and conquer new tricks, you are ready to head to Park Lane.

Welcome to Park Lane. A quick moving jump line split into upper and lower that's perfect for building your confidence as you dial in tricks. Upper Park Lane features a three pack to build your confidence. Lower Park Lane helps finish up those tricks with the opportunity to hit the Quarterpipe or jibs in-between jump laps. Located near Peru lift, this jump line receives quite the applause when you throw style and ease in the air.

The Alley is a true jibber's delight. If you've been dreaming of your skis and boards hitting metal all day, The Alley is the park for you. A true skate style park, you create the line and we put plenty of features in place for your tricks to fill up an edit or a whole season. The Alley keeps your jibbing in check with more technical features.

Advanced: Main Street

Welcome to the stomping grounds for pro level skiers and riders. Main Street features our largest jump line with three sets perfect for landing tricks that are heading to the biggest competitions in freeskiing and snowboarding. With a chairlift audience watching your every move, this is the perfect spot for dialing in new tricks that'll guarantee you a medal, cash prize or podium finish.

What Makes A51 Great?

A51 Terrain Park

When it comes to freeskiing and slopestyle, the sport is by the people, for the people.

At Keystone, A51 has found a tender spot in the hearts of the few, the proud, the shredders, and that has led to national recognition as one of the best terrain parks in the nation.

What makes A51 a cut above?

Read on to find out.

Built by skiers and riders who ride the park.

The skiers and riders who designed A51 love to shred parks as much as you do. They work all year to get the park ready to ride, putting as much energy and love into each feature as you will the moment you enter.

It has features and paths for every level.

A51 is a progressive park, allowing you to start small and build before you conquer the 60-foot jumps. We have boxes, rails, tubes, tables and jumps that are perfect for your ability, whether you’re attempting your first ride-on rail, mastering the jib, riding a rainbow rail or going for big air.

It lets you discover freestyle tricks by watching the pros.

If you’re feeling like you need a little inspiration, take a ride on Peru or A51 chairlifts for front seat viewing to watch top-level pros throw down on Main Street and Park Lane lines.

It has its own dedicated lift.

For direct access to A51, head to Mountain House Base Area and up the Peru lift. From there, it's all day laps on our A51-dedicated chair.

A51 Terrain Park is like no other park in the U.S. and our guests agree.

It’s been voted #2 Terrain Park by TransWorld Magazine and #3 Terrain Park by Freeskier Magazine. Get over here ASAP and start shredding with us.
